“Am I Good Enough?”

Those with “imposter syndrome” think they’re worse than they actually are. Those with “angel syndrome” are convinced they’re better than they actually are. Both are real problems, but those with “angel syndrome” don’t understand the gospel. Paul describes the default setting of every human being in Romans 3:10, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” In Romans 3:10–18, Paul describes the unrighteousness of humanity in terms of sin’s internal, verbal, and physical aspects. Then, in verses 19 and 20, he states that our obedience will never justify us in the sight of God.
