Christopher Hoffman

International Missions

Christopher grew up in a Christian home and God graciously saved him at a young age. His parents have served in international missions in various capacities at home and abroad his whole life, which has been a challenge and blessing in his faith. He has found following Jesus to be a great personal joy, a challenge to his selfishness, and good news worth sharing with others. He works as an engineer in Atlanta helping to make the internet. Since joining MVBC in 2023 he has been thankful to grow as a church member and to serve as a Sunday school teacher..

Rick Hutchins

Personnel

Rick was raised in church and was baptized around age 12, believing that he had accepted Christ. But his life in college and early adulthood reflected a lack of true repentance and submission to Christ. In early 1983, in a business meeting, an old friend shared the Gospel with him, and God turned an ordinary meeting into a life-changing event. Rick says, “Our God is faithful and never gives up on us, never stops loving us, and my life is my proof of that.” Since coming to MVBC in 1985, Rick has served as an elder, preschool teacher, Sunday School Director, Deacon, Equipping Matters teacher, and on several committees.

Dennis and Paula were married in 1978 and they have three sons. They became members of Mount Vernon in 1996.
