“Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken”

Chapters 30 and 31 are sometimes called Jeremiah’s Book of Consolation. Unlike most of the rest of Jeremiah, in these chapters God reiterates his promises for the people of Judah. Though the immediate promise is restoration to the land, God also promises to make a new or everlasting covenant with his people.
