The apostle Paul wrote to his son in the faith, Titus, instructing him in a number of practical matters related to life in a local church, one of which is at heart of Mount Vernon's women's ministry - women discipling women. As Paul said, "Teach the older women to...train the younger women" (Titus 2:3-5).
Our women's ministry seeks to provide Bible studies, discipleship, fellowship, and service uniquely for women no matter what stage in life. Our desire is to see women partnering with each other to help encourage and equip one another to love Christ, obey God's word, and serve His church.
Covenant Groups
Covenant groups are small groups of 5-8 women, who engage in biblically-based discussions for the purpose of accountability and personal discipleship, aiming to mature in Christ and invest in other women as Titus 2:3-5 instructs. Inductive Bible study or Christian book study are the teaching methods used in Covenant Groups. Covenant Groups are open to MVBC members only.
