Frequently Asked Questions
Do you allow non-member weddings?
What is the earliest I can reserve my wedding date.
We will not reserve non-member weddings sooner than six (6) months prior to your wedding date.
What is the cost for non-member weddings?
$1,600. A 50% deposit is due upon application and the remaining 50% is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding. All Mount Vernon members should contact the church office for member pricing.
Do you allow weddings on Sunday?
What is the latest I can have a wedding on Saturday?
We allow weddings to start as late as 4:00 p.m. and wedding rehearsals at 7:00 p.m.
Do you allow receptions?
Only for members.
Do you provide an officiating minister?
No. We require that a officiating ministers be affliated with a conservative, evangelical denomination or ministry and believe that the Bible is the fully inerrant and inspired Word of God and that Jesus is the exclusive means of salvation.
Do you provide any musicians?
No. We provide an AV (audio/visual) technician who will arrive an hour and a half before the wedding to set up and review the order of service and logistics.
Do you provide a wedding director?
No. We provide a member from our Wedding Ministry Team, who is a liaison between the church and the wedding party the day of the wedding. We require that you have either a professional wedding director or someone highly experienced.
How do I book a wedding?
Complete the online questionnaire for our preliminary screening. If your initial screening is approved, a facility's tour will be scheduled between the bride and a member of our wedding team. At that time you will be given a copy of our wedding policy manual and application. A completed application and 50% deposit is then due in order to book your wedding.
