Below are announcements about our schedule, resources, and just about anything else related to Mount Vernon.

Our next regularly scheduled Church in Conference will be Sunday, January 29, starting at 4:30 pm. Members are encouraged to attend as we will consider many matters related to the life of the church.

Our Equipping Matters classes continue this Wednesday, starting at 6:30 pm. The classes being offered are Old Testament Overview, Systematic Theology II, and a women’s Bible study through Ephesians 6. All are invited to attend.

We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper during the evening service on Sunday, February 5. We encourage members to examine their hearts and relationships with one another in preparation for this celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection.

Starting Sunday, January 8, our Sunday School classes will begin at 9:15 am. Children's ministry workers will start receiving children at 9:00 am.

Our Wednesday evening topical studies, Equipping Matters, resumes next Wednesday, January 4, starting at 6:30 pm. All are invited to attend. Click here for a list of upcoming class for Spring 2012.

Just a reminder that this Sunday (New Year's Day) there will be no Sunday School or evening service. All regular Sunday activities will resume Sunday, January 8.

Church family, we will be celebrating the Lord's Supper during the morning service this Sunday, Dec. 4. We encourae you to examine your hearts and relationship with one another in preparation for this celebration of Christ's death and resurrection.

The Children's Christmas program will be this Sunday evening, Dec. 4, starting at 6:00 pm. The Children's ministry will be presenting the story of Christ's birth and His reason for coming to earth as presented in Scripture. All are invited to attend.

Our annual Thanksgiving Service will be this coming Tuesday, November 22, starting at 6:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to reflect on and thank God for His faithfulness in our lives and church. There will be singing, testimonies, and a brief devotional. All are invited to attend.

Starting November 2, Pastor Aaron will be leading a study on the Holy Spirit. Come learn more about the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

On Wednesday, November 2, starting at 7:45 pm, men 18 and older are invited to an open discussion about living and fighting for purity in today’s culture. Guests are welcome to attend. We will be meeting in room 231 just past the staff offices. Contact Doug Young if you have any questions.

On Sunday, October 23, we will have a guest preacher for our morning service. Frank Louthan, long-time member of Mount Vernon, will be preaching from 2 Corinthians 5:14-6:10 on the ministry of reconciliation. Please be praying for Frank in his perparation to serve us with the Word.
