Local Evangelism

The local church is a community of believers all equal in Christ and accountable to each other as partners in the gospel ministry.

Members in The Community

Our first effort in reaching our community and city is by sending members out. Our greatest impact in the community is through members living and speaking the gospel in their daily lives. We seek to equip members to be trained, faithful, and bold in sharing the gospel with non-Christians in their communities. We want stay-at-home moms to share it with their children. Members are employers and employees, and seek to take the gospel to their workplace. They share it to their neighbors, friends, family, and any any other context they may have opportunity. Our local evangelism isn't what we organize. Rather, it's simply part of our daily lives as Christians.

There are some specific resources and opportunities we provide to be better equipped at evangelism.

Evangelism Conferences

Once a year, we provide some extended time for teaching members about the need, responsibility, and practical how-to's on evangelism.

Christianity Explained

We regular offer a six week Bible study on the life of Jesus called Christianity Explained.

Two Ways to Live

We often teach a biblical and easily memorable approach to sharing the gospel called Two Ways to Live.

The Gospel Made Visible

We also believe that our evangelism is corporate in nature. In other words, we are responsible for sharing the gospel with our words as individuals, but we also believe that our lives in a community of faith are a public and visible testimony to the gospel. Jesus said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35). Isn't that interesting? Jesus didn't say that the world would know that we are his disciples by our servant evangelism, though they will. Rather, he said they would know we are his disciples by the way we love other brothers and sister in him.

By nature, we don't all have a lot in common. We don't all enjoy the same recreational activities, have the same political affiliations, or come from the same socio-economic backgrounds. So what unities us as a church? It's the love of God experienced through His Son, Jesus Christ. We are now called to show that same love to one another in visible and tangible ways.
