Kingdom Kids, Mount Vernon's children's ministry, is committed to leading little ones to God through faith in Jesus Christ. Our goal is to impart truth and encourage faith as the children learn of God's greatness and worth revealed in His word. We pray that God, by His Spirit, would enable them to recognize their sinful state and respond in repentance and faith to Christ Jesus. The Bible is our foundation and sufficient for children's ministry. This is just as Paul told Timothy, "Continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:14-15).
As the children regularly gather with each other and the large body of Christ, these truths are reinforced through teaching, Scripture memory, prayer, music, drama, and special activities. These activities are conducted in a way that reflects God, nurtures meaningful relationships with both friends and adult leaders, and shepherds their hearts and lives to be joyfully spent for the cause of Christ and His Kingdom.
